Seniors, this one’s for you! We know you’re wondering “What are Austin’s best locations for senior photos?”
Here are Bridgette’s favorite Austin spots:
Austin, TX Skyline. Why? “It’s very unique and recognizable.”
Waterloo Park. Why? “It’s protected from the wind by the location. Lots of greenery that’s manicured while still looking natural. Photographers must have a pass there so it’s not overrun with shoots.”
Second Street. Why? “The buildings, lights, and street all have a big city vibe. I love it when you can get a little light peeking behind the buildings.”
Are you looking for an extra unique location? That’s great! Photographers think about these 3 questions when looking for a dynamite spot:
Will there be shade nearby at the time of your session? Not sure? Check out the lighting situation by driving by the location around the same time of day as your photoshoot.
Is there convenient parking? Your photographer, their assistant, and your parent will be lugging around a tent, cameras, clothing, and other gear. Try to keep the walking distance minimal whenever possible!
Is there a location that tells part of your story? For example: it makes more sense for a football player to have their location be a football field than a swimming pool.
Remember no matter what - the focus should be on YOU not the location! The background should be complimentary, not distracting. You’re the focus!
